Amor Quijano was raised in the small town of Chetumal, Mexico, where the community expresses togetherness through food. In her parent's kitchen, as well as the kitchens of many neighbors, Amor learned the traditions of authentic cuisine of the Yucatan Peninsula. In young adulthood she lived in various cities throughout Mexico becoming familiarized with the varied cultural aspects of food. In the U.S., she furthered her education in food, receiving a Degree in Culinary Arts. A principal objective in opening Los Dos Restaurant is to offer people a variety of flavors and ingredients, some of which may not be familiar to American diners.
